Frequently Asked Questions about Facials

  • The facial process step by step is to cleanse, exfoliate, steam, extract impurities, massage, and hydrate the skin. Targeted facials will customize the process by eliminating or adding steps with certain tools and different products.

  • Similar to why we trim our hair and maintain our fingernails, our skin needs to be exfoliated and cared for on a regular basis. Facials are good for treating dry skin, clearing blackheads and whiteheads, as well as softening lines and wrinkles, and refining pore size.

  • Facials are more effective when performed every 4 to 6 weeks and alternated in between yearly laser and clinical skincare treatments.

  • The facial process is the same for both men and women however, special treatment is taken around the beard area for men.

  • A facial may be booked along with a laser hair removal treatment for the face on the same day as long as the facial is performed first.

  • It is not advised to receive facials, waxing, or any other skincare treatment while on Accutane or within 6 months of being off the medication.

  • You sure can, doing your own facial at home is encouraged. However, it always feels more relaxing and enjoyable when someone else performs your facials for you!
